Reminder: Open Enrollment for FY21 Benefits is Underway
April 29, 2020
Open Enrollment is on for two more weeks! This is your annual opportunity to change your health plan, add or drop dependents, start a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), add or increase supplemental life insurance or enroll in accidental death and dismemberment insurance (AD&D). Remember, if you want to have an FSA in FY21, you have to re-enroll now.

Performance Management Training offered via Zoom

University of èßäÊÓƵ (UA) Human Resources (HR) is providing Performance Management Tool and Best Practices Training. Labor and Employee Engagement Specialist Kelley Lassey will be facilitating several sessions. Please pre-register through the myUA Employee Services Dashboard Learning Library to attend training via Zoom and to receive credit for the training. Training information will be sent to registrants two days prior to each training date.

Employee benefits are more than just a health care plan and a retirement account. A study by the Bureau of Labor Statistics found that benefits count for almost 30 percent of employee compensation. UA staff benefits count for between 30 to 49% percent of our annual salary.

HR Guidance - Leave types and time tracking

As we near the end of the current pay period, I want to make sure that everyone has the information they need to submit and approve timesheets. Over the past week, we have been working to implement the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). We have been interpreting the requirements of the act and creating new leave balances. The process has not been without glitches and in some cases federal guidance didn't come until after the implementation deadline.
