UA Human Resources department held open house to thank UA employees
The University of èƵ Human Resources department hosted concurrent open houses on Friday, Dec. 6 at all three University of èƵ campuses.
The open houses were an opportunity for UA employees and community members to find out more about the still new Human Resource Team structure and processes, job openings, benefits and meet colleagues in human resources. In Fairbanks, there was a scavenger hunt with a questionnaire about interesting and little known facts about HR staff members. In Juneau, there was a chocolate fountain in addition to other treats. Anchorage participants had a BINGO challenge.
Chief Human Resources Officer Steve Patin provided welcoming remarks from the University of èƵ Southeast that were streamed at all locations via Zoom.
“Our statewide HR open house is our way of saying thank you to our colleagues at the universities and statewide administration office, for all you do for our mission,” said CHRO Steve Patin in his opening remarks. “It's our job to support you in the things that you do-- the important work that you do, changing people's lives, changing people's lives for generations. We are in it with you and for you, to support you.”
“The University of èƵ has a lot of very hard working, dedicated folks in HR statewide,” he said. “I am very proud to be their teammate. They wake up and go to bed, thinking about serving you and doing a better job to make it easy for you to perform your mission.”
